International Sales Associate

Satcom is seeking an experienced International Sales Associate to support and expand our presence within the secure and tactical communications sector across international markets.
This strategic role is responsible for developing and managing sales opportunities, building long-term relationships with government, defence, and institutional clients, coordinating tender and proposal submissions, maintaining accurate sales records and reporting systems, and contributing to Satcom's growth as a trusted communications solutions partner.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, navigating complex procurement environments, and representing the company at a senior stakeholder level.
The role may involve regional and international travel to support client engagement, exhibitions, tender activities, and strategic business development initiatives.
We are looking for a driven individual with strong relationship management skills and a proven track record in business-to-government (B2G), defence, technology, telecommunications, or other complex solution-based sales environments.
Please note that prior technical experience in secure or tactical communication systems is not required. Comprehensive product and solutions training will be provided. Our focus is on exceptional sales, business development, and client engagement capabilities, while technical specialists provide engineering and product support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute national and regional sales strategies aligned with Satcom's growth and expansion objectives.
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within defence, government, security, and related markets.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic clients, with a focus on long-term partnerships, customer retention, and contract growth.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales engagements and present solutions to senior government, military, and institutional decision-makers.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure client requirements are accurately scoped and successfully delivered.
- Drive proposal development, tender submissions, bid management, and contract negotiation processes.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date records of all client engagements, opportunities, quotations, tenders, forecasts, and activities within the company's CRM system.
- Take ownership of CRM management, ensuring all sales pipeline data, customer interactions, opportunity stages, and follow-up actions are consistently captured and maintained to the highest standard.
- Produce timely and accurate sales reports, pipeline reviews, forecasting updates, activity reports, and business development metrics for Executive Management.
- Monitor opportunity progression and proactively manage follow-up actions, ensuring no sales opportunities, tenders, or customer commitments are overlooked.
- Drive sales process discipline by maintaining reporting accuracy, data integrity, pipeline visibility, and adherence to internal sales procedures.
- Represent Satcom at industry forums, exhibitions, conferences, and government engagements locally, regionally, and internationally.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, market intelligence, and business development insights to Executive Management.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends, competitor activity, compliance requirements, procurement frameworks, and emerging opportunities within target sectors.
